Our vision as born-again believers is to provide the most profound confidential spiritual care and support through prayer, comfort, assistance, facilitation, advice and follow-up to our congregation.
Our mission is to provide assistance and comfort to those individuals and their families in the event of a death or other times of crisis.
“If you have any encouragement from being united with Christ, if any comfort from his love, if any fellowship with the Spirit, if any tenderness and compassion, then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and purpose.” Philippians 2:1, 2 (NIV)
When caring for the members, particular needs may arise requiring guidance and instruction for referrals or assistance with Register of Wills, Power of Attorneys, financial counseling and Social Security Administration. These particular requests are legal and individuals should be referred to professional resources.
The Bereavement Ministry team may provide referrals, to include grief and bereavement counseling, offered at the Sanctuary at Kingdom Square Counseling Center by contacting the Sanctuary at Kingdom Square administrative office.
Professional services will be provided based on individual needs, with adequate response and respectful care from the Sanctuary Counseling Center and it will be the sole responsibility of the Counseling Center to make appropriate and specific determination and evaluation as to the specific needs of the individual.
The Bereavement Ministry will provide follow-up care to include telephone calls and mailings starting with weekly contacts for one month and thereafter monthly for at least one year. In some situations, particular individuals may require contact beyond one year and this responsibility will continue to be the sole responsibility of the Bereavement Ministry.
