Job Ministry
Job Ministry
Vision Statement:
Our vision is to provide members of The Sanctuary at Kingdom Square (TSAKS) with career counseling, guidance for job advancement and information about current employment opportunities. We seek to interface with other ministries that similarly assist members with educational development, financial security, and economic stability.
Mission Statement:
Our mission is to ensure that TSAKS members are able to financially provide for their families by securing employment that meets their economic needs. We strive to provide knowledge for career development through educational and training opportunities, information for career transition and the maintenance of gainful employment.
Scripture Foundation:
"For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do." Ephesians 2:10 (NIV)
Membership:
All ministry members undertake a background check prior to accessing client records and interacting with the community on behalf of the church. Job Ministry members understand that the nature of the ministry work is sensitive.
Ministry Events:
Provide quarterly seminars and/or workshops to TSAKS members and the local community that assist in securing employment and provide career development. The ministry makes every effort to schedule an event within each quarter to provide such workshops to members.
Information Dissemination:
The ministry provides timely information on upcoming and available employment opportunities through live updates to the Job Ministry website, church bulletins and/or inserts and external flyers. The ministry is also responsible for hosting a bi-monthly information table. Flyers will be made available for updated employment opportunities, trainings, and job fairs. Individuals will be allowed to sign-up for services from the ministry (workshops, resume assistance and career development).
Office Hours:
The ministry designates and provides weekly office hours for career counseling, resume review and general (non-legal) Human Resource advice. The office is manned by Intake Staff on Tuesdays, Thursdays, or Fridays, at least 6 hours per week, for retrieval of office messages and call-backs to members in need of employment services. Employment Counselors contact and assist clients during non-office hours to provide timely and expeditious service to the clients that they are assigned to.
Ministry Meetings:
Job Ministry Meetings are held monthly, every 2nd Saturday of the month.
