Outreach Ministry

Outreach Ministry

Vision Statement:

Once converted, redeemed souls become disciples and perform evangelism within their respective communities.

Mission Statement:

To seek new converts and provide innovative ways to spread the Good News of Jesus Christ.

Scriptural Foundation:

Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." Matthew 28:18-20

Ministry Goals:

  • To develop new and innovative ways to spread the Gospel to the unsaved and to witness to them that Jesus saves.

  • To devise a method whereby individuals will know what salvation is, that God has a plan for each person's life, and that individuals will develop a burning in their hearts that everyone might be saved.

  • That ministry members will become aware of, and learn, various methods of witnessing (i.e., Roman’s Road).

  • To compel individuals to attend church and become active in the overall church ministry.

  • To provide opportunities for “unchurched” individuals to accept Christ and current members of the body of Christ to grow spiritually by spreading the Gospel throughout the world.

  • We seek to develop relationships with Prince George’s County Public School Systems, the Community Services Department of Prince George’s County, other nonprofit service organizations within the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area, other local Outreach Ministries, and other ministries at The Sanctuary at Kingdom Square.

  • We hope that each member of the Outreach Ministry is used by God to attract 5 visitors per week for worship, at least 3 people per month to accept Christ as their personal savior, and to lead 10 families to join our local church.

Ministry Collaboration:

The Outreach Ministry collaborates often with other ministries, inviting guests to serve and to train.

Ministry Meetings:

Ministry meetings are held on the third Thursday of each month.
