Please read them to stay informed and prepared in the event of an emergency. Emergency Preparedness  FQA
“Be Ready. Stay Calm. Follow Instructions.”

  1. What should I do in the event of an emergency?
Stay calm, take a deep breath, and remain composed so you can follow instructions clearly and safely.
  2. Who should I follow during an emergency?
Always follow the instructions of your emergency response team leader and the designated team leaders.
  3. How do I exit the building safely?
Under the direction of the emergency response team leader, use the nearest safe exit or the designated safe door. Do not rush—move quickly but calmly.
  4. After exiting the building, where should I go?
Under the direction of the emergency response team leader, proceed immediately to your assigned assembly area and check in with your team.
  5. Can I go back inside the building once I exit?
No. Do not re-enter the building until an official “all clear” is given.
  6. How do I retrieve my young children from the youth church during an emergency?
Do not attempt to retrieve your child on your own. Youth church leaders and the emergency response team will safely escort children to a designated assembly or reunification area. Follow your emergency response team leader's instructions and proceed to the assigned reunification location.
  1. How will individuals with disabilities be assisted during an emergency?
Individuals with disabilities will be identified and assisted by trained members of the emergency response team. Team leaders will assess each situation and provide the appropriate support to ensure safe, orderly evacuation or sheltering.
  2. Should I go to my car during an emergency?
No. Do not go to your car unless specifically directed to do so. Emergency vehicles such as police and fire departments need clear access to the building. Remain in your designated assembly area so emergency responders can operate without interference.

Thank You!

Thank you for your cooperation and participation in maintaining a safe environment for everyone. Your preparedness and willingness to follow these guidelines make a critical difference in ensuring the safety and care of our entire church family.
