“Pastor B” Maclin

Brandon Maclin, affectionately known as Pastor B, serves as the Pastor-in-Succession of The Sanctuary at Kingdom Square in Upper Marlboro, Maryland, where he will succeed his father, Bishop Anthony G. Maclin, in 2027. Raised in a vibrant, music-filled home and steeped in the life of ministry from birth, Pastor B is committed to leading The Sanctuary with spiritual depth, cultural relevance, and community impact.

Born into a musically gifted family, Brandon’s love for music began as a toddler imitating the church drummer from the front pew. By the age of seven, he was playing professionally, quickly becoming a sought-after musician in churches and other gospel events. His passion for excellence in music led him to the Berklee College of Music, where he honed his craft while performing alongside world-renowned artists and ensembles.

Over the years, Brandon’s career expanded far beyond the church walls. He traveled the world as the drummer for the multi-platinum rock band Daughtry, and served as Music Director & producer for gospel powerhouses J.J. Hairston & Youthful Praise and Charles Butler & Trinity. He has played with iconic artists such as Eric Roberson, Raheem DaVaughn, Benita Jones, and Donnie McClurkin, while also co-producing Grammy-nominated and award-winning projects, including the gospel hits, “You Deserve It,” “The Blood,” and “Stand & Proclaim.”

In 2015, Brandon co-founded DruMD Enterprises, a versatile production company specializing in music production, live event coordination, digital marketing, and creative development for artists and organizations. His entrepreneurial spirit and creative leadership have empowered a generation of creators to dream boldly and execute with excellence.

Today, his unique journey as a world-class musician, creative entrepreneur, and emerging church leader shapes his ministry philosophy: to honor the sacred traditions of the church while embracing innovative, forward-thinking methods. At The Sanctuary, he is passionate about creating immersive worship experiences, raising up the next generation of leaders, and cultivating a multicultural, intergenerational community where Gen Z, Gen Alpha, Millennials, Gen X, and Baby Boomers grow and serve together.

Brandon is married to Aryka Maclin, his partner in life and ministry. Together, they are dedicated to modeling a life that represents Jesus Christ with integrity, creativity, and love—making a Kingdom impact both locally and globally.
